CHES Celebration of Scholarship Call for Round Table & Workshop Submissions

The CHES Celebration of Scholarship will be held in-person on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at The University of British Columbia’s Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre. Please note that a Round Table or Workshop submission is considered a commitment to attend the meeting and facilitate in-person if accepted. The Round Table & Workshop submission deadline is June 28, 2024 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

• Facilitators must be a CHES Member – Apply here!
• Presentations must be delivered in-person at the scheduled time.
• Only TWO facilitators will be accepted per Round Table or Workshop submission.

Round Table Submissions

• Round Table Discussions are designed to foster idea generation and exploration of a topic, and engage participants in reflection and conversation.
• Hosted in the main conference room, participants are seated around tables to engage in small group discussions.
• Submissions must include clear learning outcomes for participants, and indicate how participation will be encouraged.

Workshop Submissions

• Workshops are designed to teach or develop a specific skill and should incorporate interactive discussions, activities, and exercises to engage participants.
• Hosted in small breakout rooms to enable small group discussions.
• Submissions must include the anticipated structure of the workshop, clear learning outcomes for participants, and indicate how participation will be encouraged.
