CHES Celebration of Scholarship Call for Abstracts

The CHES Celebration of Scholarship will be held virtually on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Please note that both oral and poster sessions will be presented virtually using Zoom. The abstract submissions deadline is June 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM PDT.

Details
  • Presenters must be a CHES Member – Apply here!
  • Members may be the presenting author on one abstract only.
  • Members may present work previously presented at other conferences.
  • Members may present work in progress.
  • The final program and format assignment is contingent upon the number of submissions in each category.
  • Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and should include three keywords.
  • *new* When your poster abstract is accepted, poster presenters will be asked to record a 2-3-minute audio clip to explain and walk-through your poster which will be made available in our Virtual Poster Showcase.
Abstracts Describing Completed Work
  • What problem have you identified and/or tried to address?
  • What did you do (a description of methods and/or innovation)?
  • What did you discover in the work (findings and/or lessons learned)?
  • Why is this important (implications and/or future directions of the work)?
Abstracts Describing Works-In-Progress
  • What problem have you identified and/or tried to address?
  • What are you doing or planning (a description of methods and/or innovation)?
  • Why would the findings or lessons learned be important (implications)?
