Nathan Katz

Clinical Educator Fellow

Dr. Nathan Katz is a PGY2 in Orthopaedic Surgery at UBC. He completed undergraduate studies in Psychology at Western University, followed by medical school at Queen’s University. He is originally from Cambridge, UK.

He is passionate about medical education, particularly in supporting learners with disabilities. His past experiences include a variety of teaching roles, work in educational development, and military service. His prior research focuses on teaching in undergraduate medicine, and he hopes to explore questions about personalized learning for surgical residents during his MHPE-Canada and Clinical Educator Fellowship.

When not scrubbed for surgery, you can find him tending the tiny garden on his patio, writing terrible songs for piano, and walking his beloved Weimaraner dog.
