Purpose of Visit

Julie is undertaking sabbatical for the second half of 2024 and will be visiting a number of institutions in Canada and the USA.  Julie would like to meet with members of the CHES community to foster collaboration on assessment strategies and share data on student performance and learning outcomes. This will help identify areas for improvement at both institutions and inform innovative assessment ideas.

Julie would like to discuss challenges, share resources, and brainstorm innovative approaches to teaching.  This will provide an opportunity to see how the Australian and Canadian educational environments are different in areas such as curricula and pedagogical practice.  This will foster learning communities that are grounded in practice-based inquiry and will hopefully lead to collaboration on innovative teaching methods, curriculum improvements, and instructional strategies that enhance the learning experience.
