Biography

“Learning is changing and changing is learning” – Floor Velthuis’ PhD project is about undergraduate medical curriculum renewal and organizational change. She has studied social and organizational psychology at the University of Groningen and Utrecht. After working at the quality assurance department at the medical faculty in Groningen she moved into her current PhD position. She is fascinated by the dynamics of human behavior in organizations, especially around change. Better understanding the complexity of these change processes is one of her goals. Change leaders of medical curriculum change projects are the target group of her first study. A probable next study could be about the deans/Board of Directors and their role in the change process. Floor is doing research under supervision of prof. Debbie Jaarsma.
