Biography

Dr. Eliot Rees is a clinical academic with expertise in faculty development and medical education research. Dr. Rees has particular interests in selection and widening access, peer teaching, and general practice education. He is currently writing up his PhD thesis which explored how applicants from different socioeconomic backgrounds choose which UK medical schools to apply to. At Keele, Dr. Rees’ role predominantly involves postgraduate teaching on the MSc Clinical Education, and conducting and supporting medical education research. At University College London, he teaches on the MBBS and iBSc in Primary Care Research and Clinical Practice courses, conduct research into general practice workforce, and am completing my general practice specialist training. Outside of work, Dr. Rees is a keen long-distance runner and will be participating in the BMO Vancouver Marathon while he is in town.

Purpose of Visit

During this visit, Dr. Rees will be meeting with members of the CHES community to discuss research ideas and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
