Biography

Dr. Stefany Morrison is a practicing general internal medicine specialist at the University of British Columbia. She completed medical school training at the University of Manitoba, internal medicine residency at the University of British Columbia, and fellowship training at the University of McGill. It was during her time at McGill that she became interested in Medical Education, and, during her second year of fellowship training, enrolled in the University of Ottawa’s Masters of Education, Concentration in Health Profession Education. She is particularly interested in curriculum development and program analysis. Given her specialty training in Point of Care Ultrasound, Dr. Morrison was granted the role of medical education lead for the UBC internal medicine POCUS service. One of her aspirations is to improve the internal medicine point of care ultrasound curriculum using pedagogy and experiential learning theories.

Purpose of Visit

The purpose of this visit to CHES will be for Dr. Morrison to meet with individual members of the CHES community to refine her research ideas, seek advice on delivery methods of medical education, and explore areas of joint interest in experiential teaching and learning.
