Biography
Dr. Elly Park is Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, as well as the Academic Site Lead in Prince George for the Master of Occupational Therapy Northern Cohort. Her teaching areas include Fundamental Concepts of Occupational Therapy and Professional Development of the Occupational Therapist. Her current research explores student experiences in distributed learning health professional programs including student engagement and sense of connection. She is also interested in “decentering grades” and reimagining an appreciation for learning in health professional programs. I am a proud mom of three amazing children, and I enjoy running as a way to maintain my mental health!
Purpose of Visit
Dr. Park is currently working on a project looking at Student Engagement in a Distributed Learning Health Professional Program. In addition, she is completing a paper to submit for publication looking at student experiences at a new distributed learning site. She is looking forward to meeting colleagues to share ideas and perspectives!
