Biography
Dr. Marvin Chung is an orthopaedic surgeon and a clinical educator at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he graduated from his undergraduate medical studies. He later obtained a Master of Surgery from the University of Edinburgh and a Master of Science from the University of Oxford on orthopaedics and evidence-based health care respectively. Dr. Chung is currently the coordinator for orthopaedic student clerkship at HKU, and oversees the pre-clinical medical curriculum as the MBBS Programme Director (Pre-clinical). He has pioneered the use of EPA in undergraduate orthopaedics, innovative game-based learning models, and training programs for workplace transition. Outside of medical education, he was a collegiate rower and is active in musculoskeletal health education and injury prevention. He is also a proud father to two boys.
Purpose of Visit
During his visit, Dr. Chung aims to meet with CHES faculty to explore the medical education landscape in Canada for insights in improvement at his own institution, and to meet with researchers to discuss research ideas and potential collaborations.
