Purpose of Visit

During this visit to CHES, Dr. Ju would like to meet with educators with mutual research interests to discuss her current research interests and where to take her research in the future.

Biography

Dr. Mindy Ju graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2009. She completed pediatric residency and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. She is currently a Simulation Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, under the mentorship of Dr. Sandrijn van Schaik. As part of her fellowship she plans on pursuing a Master of Education at the University of California, Berkeley in the coming academic year.

Dr. Ju is interested in understanding bias based on gender and professional background in interprofessional teams. More specifically, she wants to research how these biases develop during medical training and how they affect team dynamics.
