Biography

Zubin Austin BScPhm MBA MISc PhD FCAHS is Professor and Murray Koffler Research Chair at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy and the Institute for Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation – Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the professional and personal development of the health workforce. He has published over 250 peer reviewed papers and authored four textbooks. In 2017, in recognition of the global impact of his work, he was installed as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. He is also the only University of Toronto professor ever to have received both the President’s Teaching Award for sustained excellence as an educator and the President’s Research Impact Award for the societal significance of his work. He has been named Professor of the Year by students on 20 separate occasions.

Purpose of Visit

During this virtual visit to CHES, Dr. Austin will be meeting with individual members of the CHES community to discuss their research ideas, offer advice, and explore areas of joint interest. Dr. Austin will also be presenting at the CHES Cutting Edge Speaker Series on November 14.
