Biography
Dr. Adam Hoffmann is a pediatric hospitalist at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver and the Program Director for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program. He completed medical school at the University of Manitoba and pediatric residency training at the University of British Columbia. He is currently completing a Master of Education in Health Sciences Education at the University of Alberta.
His medical education interests focus on the clinical learning environment, particularly how autonomy, supervision and communication shape the experiences of those operating within it. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hockey, travel, aviation and spending time with his two cats.
Purpose of Visit
The purpose of this visit is to build connections with potential mentors and collaborators around his Master’s project, while also developing relationships that may support future scholarly work, including research and quality improvement initiatives.
