Purpose of Visit
To explore spirituality in health care and health care education. Spirituality seems to be a taboo topic yet it is a part of our socio-cultural identity. By keeping quiet, are we missing an area of diversity to include in our discussions of teaching cultural sensitivity? Are we avoiding a topic central to well-being of leaners and practioners thereby missing an opportunity to support wellness? Is this part of what western medical culture can learn from the two-eyed seeing approach? I would love to explore to see if there is a PhD project in this topic.
