Dr. Henry (Cheng-Heng) Liu

Biography

Dr. Henry (Cheng-Heng) Liu is an emergency physician and physician educator at National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, where he earned a master’s degree in medical education. His primary interests lie in technology-enhanced medical education and advancing healthcare education scholarship. At NUTH hospital, he oversees the Clinical Skills Center and support educational technology, including projects involving generative AI and immersive learning environments. He  also trains standardized patients and explore health and information literacy within this group. Beyond his professional work, he is a proud father to a daughter and son. He enjoys exploring new technologies, practicing photography, spending time outdoors, and occasionally savoring a craft beer. It is a tremendous honor  for him to have this opportunity to learn at CHES, and he looks forward to contributing to and growing from this experience.

Purpose of Visit

Dr. Liu aims to enhance his competency in conducting rigorous medical education research (both qualitative and quantitative), critically appraise research articles, and improve his academic writing skills. He is  also eager to learn about career pathways in healthcare education scholarship for physicians and how to conduct faculty development in this area.
