This initiative aims to enhance our collective capacity to advance research, scholarship and practice in health professional education, and to foster a culture of collaboration across the health disciplines at UBC.
It is designed for individuals in any role in health professions education at UBC who want to apply a scholarly lens to considering an educational issue of importance across the health disciplines, and who would benefit from working within a collaborative, cross-professional team to advance their learning, leadership, scholarship, practice or research. The initiative works to cultivate the development of two types of cross-professional “project teams” in the formative stages: Learning Teams that enable scholars from across health professions to come together to advance their knowledge about a shared question or issue; and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Teams (SoTL) that support scholars in early stages of shaping a collaborative research or SoTL project.
