Biography

Roghayeh, PhD in Medical Education, directs the Department of Medical Education, which its aim is to train Master and PhD students in health professions education. Roghayeh supervises many Master and PhD students’ theses and research programs in HPE. Her research projects span the areas of 1) applying cognitive and motivation sciences to understand and promote individual trainees and learning groups in HPE, and healthcare teams’ performance (with a focus on the regulation of learning, mindsets beliefs, feedback-seeking motivations, etc.) 2) applying program evaluation models in HPE and 3) unraveling subjectivity in expert judgment in accreditation. Roghayeh has been also involved in developing and establishing many education developmental projects at the university and national levels.

Purpose of Visit

Roghayeh visits CHES with the goal of evolving the idea of studying expert judgment in accreditation and advancing the conceptual basics of her research in the field of learning science. She will be meeting with individual members of the CHES community to get familiar with the research being conducted at CHES, discuss their research projects and receive comments, and explore lines of joint interest and collective publication.

Roghayeh is the recipient of the Glenn Regehr Global Networking & Visitor Fund.
