Biography

Dr. Anders Sondén is a consultant surgeon at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm, Associate Professor of Surgery, and Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at Karolinska Institutet. He leads the Clinical Education Research Group at KI-SÖS, focusing on workplace-based learning in health professions education. His research explores interprofessional supervision, professional role transitions, and the creation of inclusive and accessible clinical learning environments, together with patient involvement in education.

Anders is actively engaged in faculty development through The IMEX (International Medical Educators eXchange) program and has long experience implementing structures that support active learning and interprofessional learning (IPL) in clinical education.

Purpose of Visit

Taking the opportunity of participating in The Patient’s Voice conference, Anders looks forward to engaging with the CHES community, learning about ongoing projects, and exploring common interests in clinical education research. His particular focus includes interprofessional supervision, workplace learning, and faculty development.
