Purpose of Visit
Dr. Laura Farrell is our December Research Rounds presenter and will be giving a talk titled, “‘What is my goal?’ Exploring goal oriented feedback in brief clinical teaching encounters” on December 9.
In addition to Rounds, Dr. Farrell will also be meeting with individual members of the CHES community to discuss their research ideas, offer advice, and explore areas of joint interest.
Biography
Dr. Laura Farrell is a General Internist and clinical educator at the Island Medical Program in Victoria. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Victoria, her MD at the University of British Columbia and her Internal Medicine residency in Calgary. After beginning her career in Lethbridge, Alberta, Dr. Farrell moved home to Victoria where she has been practicing for the last seven years.
Dr. Farrell recently achieved a Masters of Medical Education from the University of Dundee with the strong support of the Centre for Health Education Scholarship. Currently, she is the Site Education Leader for Internal Medicine at the Victoria General Hospital and a Master Teacher for the Island Medical Program.
