Congratulations Cynthia Min (PhD student) for earning a $2975 AMS Impact Grant! The grants are part of a new initiative that fund UBC students conducting research that fosters knowledge and understanding of post-secondary matters affecting UBC Vancouver’s community. Her project, titled ‘I Thought I was Doing So Well’: Understanding the Mechanisms Underlying Misalignment Between Self-Assessment and External Assessment, was selected for its potential to lead to actionable items that could be used to improve students’ academic experience.
