Purpose of Visit

During his four week stay at CHES, Christian will be working closely with Dr. Kevin Eva, and will focus on writing a research article based on a recently conducted intervention.

Biography

Christian Strobel is completing his PhD in the REASON doctoral program of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (LMU), focusing on Scientific Reasoning and Argumentation. He obtained his Master of Science Degree in Psychology: Learning Sciences at LMU and now works under the supervision of Professor Martin Fischer and Professor Jan-Willem Strijbos at the Institute of Medical Education (IDAM) and Faculty of Psychology at the LMU. Dr. Kevin Eva is his international supervisor.

Christian’s research focusses on how to foster diagnostic competence and reasoning abilities of physicians to increase diagnostic accuracy, and examines the underlying processes of cognitive errors in differential diagnoses.
