Clinical Educator Fellow

Edwin Betinol is the owner of 2 physiotherapy clinics called The Joint Physiotherapy + Sports Injury Centre, based in Courtenay, and The Joint Physiotherapy and Pain Treatment Centre in Campbell River.

He is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the UBC Department of Physical Therapy and an assistant instructor for UBC GunnIMS. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, Certified Hand Therapist, has his Post-Graduate Certificate in Pain Management and is currently mid-stream in his Post-Graduate Certificate in Sexual Health.

His recreational activities include using dance and ultra-marathons as complementary training tools, freediving when he can and periodically practicing Vipassana Meditation.

    In honor of his coach and mentor, Edwin created a local educational series, The Dave Battison Symposiums. The purpose was to bring high quality educational opportunities to an engaged public and allow a meaningful interaction between the health care providers and members of the community.
