Dr. Farhana Shariff
Clinical Educator Fellow
Dr. Farhana Shariff is a Clinical Educator Fellow at CHES, hailing originally from Vancouver. She completed her undergraduate degree in physiology and psychology followed by a medical degree at McGill University. She then returned to Vancouver to pursue residency training in General Surgery, which she completed prior to joining CHES. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Health Professions Education program at Maastricht University.
Dr. Shariff’s interests lie in the areas of resident operative judgment, curriculum development and quality improvement. She is currently working with the Royal College General Surgery subspecialty committee
to develop a competency by design framework for general surgery, and is involved in the development of interdisciplinary operative team training at the BC Children’s Hospital.
Outside of medicine, she can be found traveling the world, wandering the beautiful city of Vancouver, or painstakingly learning to play the guitar.
