Call for 2025 MHPE-Canada and Clinical Educator Fellowship Program Applications

We are now accepting applications for the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) Canada and CHES’ Clinical Educator Fellowship Program. Apply now!

This call includes inviting applications for the 2025 Indigenous Stream of the Clinical Educator Fellowship Program, following a successful, inaugural round of applications for our 2024 cohort. With support of an advisory group, fellows within the Indigenous Stream will help create a vision of an Indigenous approach to educational leadership and work alongside our first cohort of fellows in the Indigenous Stream, Drs. Chelsea Monell and Janelle Syring.

The trainees and graduates from the MHPE and CEFP programs are innovative thinkers and leaders, with a vision for promoting health through education scholarship. Our alumni stand out as health education leaders across the province, and across the country. Have a look at where our alumni are now and how our CHES educational programs impacted them, in a collection of testimonials from our CHES alumni.

MHPE-Canada is a two-year, internationally recognized course, giving graduates a research-based master’s degree from Maastricht University. The objectives of the MHPE program are to provide educators of health professions, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, pharmacists and others, with the capacity to implement and improve their educational programs and to conduct education research related to regional and national health priorities. The MHPE-Canada focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and skills relevant for innovative medical and health professions education in Canada.

Within the two-year program, students participate in two sets of three-week long units, taking place on-campus with delivery conducted by faculty members from both UBC and Western University. All other units are distance-based being delivered by faculty at Maastricht University.
