Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) Canada
MHPE-Canada is a two-year, internationally recognized course, giving graduates a research-based master’s degree from Maastricht University.
The objectives of the MHPE program are to provide educators of health professions, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, pharmacists and others, with the capacity to implement and improve their educational programs and to conduct education research related to regional and national health priorities. The MHPE-Canada focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and skills relevant for innovative medical and health professions education in Canada.
Within the two-year program, you will have two 3-week long units, which take place on-campus (during COVID-19 they have been delivered remotely via Zoom) and are delivered by faculty members from both UBC and the University of Western Ontario, with all other units being distance-based and delivered by faculty at Maastricht University.
