A huge congratulations to Drs. Glenn Regehr (Associate Director Research, CHES) and Sandra Jarvis-Selinger (CHES Scholar, Assistant Dean for UBC Faculty Development and Director of Curriculum in the MD Undergraduate Program) on their respective awards granted during the Canadian Conference on Medical Education (CCME) in Vancouver earlier this week. During a Early Career Medical Educators Group session, Dr. Regehr was awarded the Mentor Award for excellence in mentoring the next generation of medical educators. Dr. Jarvis-Selinger was presented the AFMC Award for Outstanding Contribution to Faculty Development in Canada in recognition for her leadership in in the development and delivery of faculty development programs and innovations. She is considered an outstanding mentor and has brought a structured, evidence based approach to curriculum design and program implementation.

The Centre for Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University invites applications for an Academic Associate at the Masters level in the newly created Assessment and Evaluation Unit.

The Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES) at the UBC Faculty of Medicine invites applications for the position of Director, Clinical Educator Fellowship Program (CEFP). This is a 0.2 FTE position for a three (3) year term with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory review. The position is expected to be filled by a candidate internal to the Faculty. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2015, or upon a date to be mutually agreed.
